I had a mixed experience at Mount Zion Boutique Hotel. The amazing views of Mount Zion and the delicious breakfast selection stood out, but there were some cleanliness and maintenance issues that detracted from my overall stay.

Rooms
6.0
My room felt basic but comfortable, though I did encounter some cleanliness issues like a dirty carpet and a roach. The room was tidy, but the maintenance could use some attention, particularly with the patio door handle and the noise from neighboring rooms.
Service
6.0
I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, but they seemed indifferent at times, especially with service around the pool area. There were moments when I felt like the training could be improved.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just outside the old city walls with stunning views. It made it easy to access the Old City and nearby attractions while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.
Dining
9.0
The breakfast was one of the highlights, offering a huge variety with fresh juices, Middle Eastern dishes, and an egg station. Eating on the terrace with the view was simply good.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel has a lovely pool and a small spa, some areas need better maintenance. The pool chairs were uncomfortable, and the state of the hotel showed its age, which affected my experience.

My stay at Mount Zion Boutique Hotel was a mix of highs and lows. While the location was perfect for exploring the Old City and the breakfast buffet offered a great variety, I encountered several issues in my room that detracted from the overall experience. The charm of the historic building didn’t overshadow the need for some refurbishment and better service.

Rooms
5.0
My room provided beautiful views of the Old City, but it was quite basic. The bathroom had issues with low water pressure, and the cleanliness was lacking since I found rotting fruit and dirty glasses that were not attended to.
Service
5.0
The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, which was great, but overall, service seemed inconsistent and could be improved. I noticed a lack of attention to detail, like dirty dishes left in the hall for hours.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Old City and with free parking available. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to explore the historical sites without being far from the action.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast buffet was extensive and included an egg station, which I really appreciated (especially the delicious Middle Eastern dishes). However, the dinner presentations were a bit underwhelming, resembling a crowded banquet rather than a nice dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel had a pleasant courtyard and some charming features, the overall facilities felt dated and not well-maintained, especially considering some areas intended for relaxation and dining.

6.6/10

I had a mixed experience at Mount Zion Boutique Hotel. While the location offered stunning views and was conveniently close to key attractions, the service and maintenance of the hotel left much to be desired. The charm of the hotel is overshadowed by poor housekeeping and less-than-helpful staff.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms, while charming with natural light, are quite basic and not up to boutique standards. I was disappointed by the level of cleanliness and the lack of amenities for the price I paid. The furniture could definitely use some attention too.
Service
5.0
The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, this didn’t extend to all staff members. I encountered rudeness at the front desk, which really detracted from my overall experience.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, offering beautiful views over Jerusalem and being just a short distance from the Old City, which made exploring so much easier.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight for me, with a variety of options including fresh fruits, cheeses, and hot dishes. I especially enjoyed dining on the terrace with the picturesque backdrop of Old Jerusalem.
Facilities
5.0
While the pool area and gardens are lovely, the facilities overall seem to need more maintenance. The state of the bathrooms was unacceptable given the hotel’s supposed standards.

The Mount Zion Boutique Hotel offered beautiful views of Jerusalem and a convenient location, though the service left something to be desired. The breakfast spread was quite diverse, making mornings enjoyable. However, the rooms were a bit tired, and the maintenance could use some attention.

Rooms
6.0
My room had an adequate size with a view, though it featured a small window and average bedding. The shower cubicle was quite strange and the decor felt a bit dated.
Service
5.0
I found the service varying; some staff were friendly and helpful, but there were moments when they seemed indifferent or uninterested. This detracted from the overall experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5-10 minute walk from the Jaffa Gate and very close to the vibrant area of First Station. It made exploring the city so easy.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was quite pleasant, with fresh and tasty options available at breakfast. I particularly enjoyed the terrace setting with views of Old Jerusalem.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel boasts a nice bar with great views, but the gym felt more like an afterthought and the pool area could be more inviting. Some improvements would make all the difference.

My stay at Mount Zion Boutique Hotel was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, just a short stroll from the old city, and the staff were warm and welcoming. However, I faced some challenges with the room cleanliness and layout, which took away from the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
I found the room a bit musty and cluttered, with two mattresses on the floor and lacking basic amenities like a spoon for coffee.
Service
6.0
While the hotel staff was warm, I did feel the restaurant service could've been more attentive; they seemed a bit indifferent.
Location
9.0
The location is a huge plus! It's close to the main attractions like the Old City and First Station, with charming views of Mount Zion.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was decent, with a variety of options, though it felt a bit overpriced for what was offered.
Facilities
7.0
I wasn’t able to use the outdoor pool since it was closed during my visit, which was disappointing given the warm weather.
